Getting ready for Baby…Hospital Bag

So the time has come to start getting prepared for that all important trip (or dash!) to the hospital. But what do you need to pack? Below is a list of essentials you may need. I hope you find it helpful…

For You
* Maternity pads
* Breast pads
* Nursing bras or soft non under wired bras
* Maternity knickers (H&M do fab ones and Primark and Tesco do comfy black high waisted knickers).
* Vest tops or slouchy t-shirts
* Dark jogging bottoms
* Socks and slippers
* Lightweight dark dressing gown or long dark cardigan
* Mini toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, face wash, face wipes, body  wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, lip balm, Avene water spray)
* Hair brush and hair bands
* Kirby grips
* TENS machine
* Birthing ball
* Hand held fan
* Labour oil (contains essential oils to aid relaxation)
* Relaxation music on your phone

For Baby                                                                                                                                  
* Baby gros/sleep suits (x4-6)
* Cardigan (x2)
* Vests (x4-6)
* Onesie/snow suit (for when you leave)
* Blanket
* Hat and scratch mitts
* Nappies and nappy bags
* Baby wipes and muslin cloths
* Formula starter pack (just in case any problems arise with breastfeeding. We went      with Cow & Gate)

Other useful items
* Change for the car park
* Snacks (cereal bars, bananas, apples)
* Lucozade sport, bottled water, cartons of fruit juice
* Phone charger and ear phones

We packed three bags in total of all the items listed above, and I have to say we used everything. Please let me know what you packed in your hospital bags!
